BBC IPLAYER CRASHING
Dec 29th, 2009 at 6:42pm

I see from many posts that the bbc iplayer causes the box(7000) to crash and re boot, i have noticed that my box(7000) only does this when trying to view an age restricted program but is fine when viewing non restricted programs.
Any one else with the same problems or have a reasonable solution, we need this sorting before Sky Player gets here.I know its not the 'full' bbc iplayer version only the 'big screen' version and i know Fetch TV's own version of the iplayer would have proably sorted it but hey!, can any on help!!!!

Which age restricted programme? The BBC has added a wonderful parent trap and when visiting the http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer website you can mess around trying to access the info on that and input a password and a second password to make sure it's OK and even fill in your email address.

Perhaps on a computer, the password and email and OK action will work. As soon as you get back on Fetch TV, nothing will.

Even if you contact the BBC, they may take ages to resolve this set top box problem. They are upgrading the  website and will be more concerned with PC problems, designs and so on.

Cookies:

http://denismartindale.supanet.com/0000-websearch.html

Shortcut: http://tinyurl.com/fetchtvstarter

Save it onto your USB pen drive as a webpage then you can open the file, go online and type into the top URL box:

tinyurl.com/fetchtvstarter

It visits there and you press info then green for save bookmark then select a number eg 900 for a quick shortcut online.

The cookies link is called about:cookies and will display the URLs and extra file details.

Have you tried to reset the Digital rights? I think that pressing the yellow button does the trick, if you press it immediately after the menu displays.
