Channel M

This was off-air for part of last week and is off-air again today (Saturday).

Anyone know what's going on? Ch57(the local mux for Manchester) is showing 'No Signal'. It only had two stations on it, Channel M and the JML Direct shopping channel, but I'm missing EuroNews.

I hope it hasn't gone under. Guardian Media Group (which owns Channel M) ran an ad for a Controller last month with rumours of an autumn re-launch using more bought-in content:

If a local channel with a potential audience of 2.1m homes doesn't make commercial sense then the future of non-national TV doesn't look at all bright.

Edit - 2.1m homes not 2.1m viewers as originally written

Maybe the local (Ch57) mux for Manchester is no more or has been given back. It's still dead with nothing on it.

Surely even a technical fault wouldn't take this long to put right.

EDIT: Back on air (July 20). Half the signal strength I was getting before. Picture stutters or freezes. What a joke.
