when paying the subscription for the sports channels are these channels live?
Because this T215 is a STB (set top box) not a HDDR (hard disk drive recorder) it can
show only live reception.

the Poole TV mast transmits only the [Mux PSB1/2/3] stations (not Dave/Quest/Yesterday/Pick TV etc).
The subscription channels offered by TopUpTV or BT Vision (e.g. ESPN, Sky Sports 1 & 2) are irrelevant to you if your (current) dwelling's aerial is aimed at a relay TV mast.
Terrestrial relay TV masts do not transmit subscription channels; you won't receive their live/linear service, however much you pay TopUpTV or BT Vision!
These are
the channels available from a relay TV mast in England (example: Poole) - note ESPN, Sky Sports 1 or 2 are absent. This is
Digital UK's article on the fewer number of channels available from a relay, as opposed to a main TV mast. Note how the sentence "Optional subscription services such as TopUpTV and ESPN will also be available" appears in the "main TV masts" paragraph.
Presently, for those whose aerial targets a relay TV mast, ESPN and the Sky Sports channels are available only with a Sky (satellite) subscription or
VirginMedia (cable TV) subscription.
Those channels were offered over broadband by TalkTalkTV but that no longer accepts new customers.
BT Vision may make some Premier League football matches available over broadband from August next year, presumably live. This would perhaps be an acceptable substitute to Sky for some viewers, from then.
Quote:BT has won the rights to screen 38 Premier League matches each season for three years starting from August 2013. BT Vision boss Marc Watson ... hopes to be able to make the matches available to fans ... over broadband via BT Vision.
