Digisender TV Clearance bargains?

While I've tested the DS 1.2 set top box, its storage isn't enough to install lots of apps beyond antivirus, email and a few media apps. So I wouldn't advise anyone to buy that except as a backup. BUT as the price has lowered on the DS 1.5 box it doesn't make sense to buy the DS 1.2 box any more. The older Android version won't help with all the apps out there.

If it lasts a year, then it may have led to lots of Internet bargains along the way.

Not so good without all the feedback we've provided on the RT Forum so far and not all apps will work with this as a rooted device, but what does work from about a million apps may encourage you to keep the DS 1.5 box.

We've learnt how to set it up to be able to enable video recording and if we choose the XP rec. mode we should get an OK picture and sound playback if the apps provide these for us...

If we study the contents of the DS 1.5 box upon its delivery, we see the accessories must cost us a lot if trying to replace them. We know that buying cheap allows us to then go further ie buying an extra 32GB micro SD card or some USB pen drive.

We also know a few antivirus problems and extra apps that can help us when a fav app doesn't help us to use extra features eg using the app's settings or the app's MENU button options.

As advised to use with a minimum 28" TV, it would work even better for some media displays that only show a central screen width not a full screen. However, some video players may offer to stretch a video playback beyond its original size on screen.

It's usually considered safer to buy from the maker than an independent seller who can't even begin to fix some faults. They usually just refund or replace. Consider the current £90 DS 1.5 price from Maplin...
