Didn't Shawn Downey explain about Miracast and the use of the Screencast accessory in a promotional video? (see next forum post...)
The Plex app that I used with the PC and the DS box allowed me access to the PC folder's contents.
DS 1.5 box update: I can't get my DS 1.5 set top box to start correctly. The reset action doesn't erase the cache, so it still doesn't start properly and must be returned to AEI.
Remember that the USB QWERTY keyboard accessed the reset action when the remote control access couldn't.
General info:
The Google Play Store helps us search for keywords and the apps being offered then allows us the READ MORE details option. The similar apps being offered may also help further.

Query available storage enough?
I'm concerned that access to various media files may require a lot of DS box storage space prior to tests.
Check the Settings app first, then click APPS then ALL apps, then view each of the major apps for opportunities to clear their CACHE and their DATA.
I recently learnt that I was able to get upto 220 MB storage space by clearing a lot of the cache and data from these apps.
I also checked every app that allows me to store some of an app's data onto the micro SD card as well as the DS box storage space.
Several apps being tested don't offer us any chance to share data on the micro SD card, yet by clearing out other apps we get a chance to use new apps even if just for testing purposes.
In regard to media files, we may install some apps that store thumbnails to speed up the loading display times. This type of cache may also apply to the DS box itself.
I installed the AVG Cleaner to learn of some of these actions as well as the Avast Cleanup GrimeFighter app. The CC Cleaner is another worth checking.

From here, it's possible to use various apps that can display the content better eg display orientation, stretch to fit screen height and width, hide or display the base screen icons for back, home and opened apps.
Some media players will display a few videos in the central area and not fill the whole screen, yet take us less storage space, so still worth using if uninstalling better apps.
I recently found the UC web browser as in the HD version meant for larger screens eg the minimum size of 28" widescreen HD TVs.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uc.browser.hdThe UC HD app lets me switch the settings to better use and the play video option seen on some websites may lead to play now or download now. Fast downloads help us view the videos better with separate media players or the movie player app etc.
See the default download path is to the internal sdcard, but click the path text to modify that to download to the external sdcard. A temporary file eventually switches to the finished download file. The File Browser app or other File Manager style apps like Helios File Manager help us because they sometimes offer different installed apps to view a selected video or image.
