The BT Vision service will soon be getting two new channels: National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild.
BT Vision already offers content from National Geographic in its library of On Demand content which is delivered over Broadband, but this new deal will allow the two channels to be shown real-time as dedicated channels. We understand that the deal also means that catch-up content from the last seven days of Nat Geo output will also be available to BT Vision subscribers.
The two channels will be able in real-time over Broadband, as opposed to other channels which are received using Freeview via a TV aerial.
We’re continuing to hear rumours of a “BT Vision 2″, which is believed to be a relaunch of the current BT Vision product offering. We’re also likely to be hearing more about YouView, the Freeview-Plus-Internet service that has BT as a partner.
