BBC Asian Network to survive

BBC Building Logo It looks like the future of the BBC Asian Network may have been secured.

In March 2010, the BBC announced plans to kill 6 Music and the Asian Network. After massive campaigns, 6 Music got a reprieve. It looks like the Asian Network will also be surviving according to today’s announcement, but on a slashed budget. Plans to keep the radio station on-air still need BBC Trust approval.
