The unit keeps turning itself on then wont allow me to change channels or turn off via the remote. Have to unplug every time this happens & then I lose all but 8 channels. The picture also freezes on most channels even though it is showing the signal strength as strong. I had an old Pace box that looked like a breeze block in comparison, but it knocks the spots off the Philips. I will be returning it to Argos & would recommend everyone steers clear of this model. BUT after the recent software update the picture format(16:9) has screwed up and is very annoying. It also has a separate button for radio which is useless for my TIVO(brilliant pvr if you dont know it). Many Tivo users also report poor reliability but mine has been perfect, never hangs or stops, picture is excellent. Pity about the s/w update. Thinking of getting a new one now.
