Problem, kept locking the channel so it had to be switched off and on to re boot. 6 months of this? No it didn't do it at first but had got progressively worse to the point to change channel it had to be rebooted. Tried aerial alterations, boosters nothing worked. I am on the fringe of transmission from Darvel but the Audioline unit I acquired from Aldi works perfectly. It appears to have been withdrawn from sale but if you come across it don't buy this box! Shame really because it was a good picture and despite the EPG blanking the channel watched it performed really well in all other respects. |

Picture quality good, some pixellation caused by traffic. Programming of timers straightforward. Now and next EPG can be scanned while picture and sound of viewed channel sits in the corner. Subtitles can be switched "on" and they stay on. In short best buy in my book "5 stars" |

Picture quality via RGB on TV scart is superb. VCR scart has composite or S-video. Audio via 3.5mm stereo jack. The 5 event timers will switch channels whether in standby or not. Access through menu/timers MHEG text and now/next EPG come up very quickly. Video output modes in 4:3 include "compromise" which gives effectively 14:9 on a standard TV. Has parental settings for channel lock, but also for menu lock - enter 0000 on initially accessing the menu option - then set your own code. The small remote (lithium cell) includes buttons for channel swop, EPG for now/next, OPT (configuration), as well as volume and mute. The remote is quite directional. Changing channels brings up the now/next info and signal strength. Has hung up a couple of times but waiting a few seconds indicated it is sometimes slow to process remote signal. Box and PSU are not too warm after 2 weeks |
