However, all is not well very often. BBC channels usually seem to work, but most others randomly disappear, lock up, mute and lose colour. DVD quality is reasonable, but once in DVD mode the box is reluctant to go back into television mode without unplugging it and plugging it back in again. I bought it as it seemed to be the perfect solution of freeview box and DVD recorder in one casing, what a mistake! Pay a bit extra and get something reliable. I've had the 'moped' sound with some DVDs accompanied by picture freezes. I would not recommend this player even though it is cheap. I guess you get what you pay for!
