Argos are now selling it at £ 22.99 and when you consider its unique fetaure { I really cant work out why more Companies dont offer the same } ' it has a display on the front of the unit that shows what Channel your tuned to ' its very good value. This may not appear to be a big deal but as I have a system using eight freeview units { and video recorders } its very handy to know which unit is set to which channel. I cant fault the units in any way |

UK - See all reviews by Meadows Review: Just bought this from Argos at the reduced price of £24.99. Picked this one up because reviews sound okay, but what we found is its almost identical to Tescos Digilogic Freeview (review below says same as Matsui!). The front has changed, now has a clock, but everything else is the same, the remote is identical. Picked up the Wharfdale as they used to be a good name, we were replacing the Digilogic which has just refused to switch on had it less than two years. Time will tell if this lasts any better. |

That said I have found it to be excellent value for money. The good Quick respones in changing channels. All avaliable channels received (although I live in a strong signal area). Neat and easy to use remote control. You can change to the required channel directly from the electronic programme guide (I have seen it posted that you can't). Good picture quality. Better than our UHF analog. Price £30. The Bad No UHF modulator to rebroadcast over a coax cable. So you do need a scart input on your TV/Video (or if TV has RGB inputs a scart/RGB converter could be used). Not the prettiest box in the world. To sum up. Want a freeview box, have a scart connection, live in an area with fair reception, buy one! It works very well and only costs £30! |
