The unit gets rather hot as already mentioned in other reviews and this week the remote socket broke down. Had this product less than a year , now looking for a different Model. |

I had to switch off the TV for the remote to work, then switch it back on again. Works fine on my 14" CRT. The remote is to small and fragile looking and the buttons tend to stick. I've had three of these, the first one the power pack was dead, the second and third worked as above so it's back to the drawing board Bush. |

Unlike other reviewers (and newsgroup posters) I've had no issues with the unit losing the BBC channels. Set-up was straightforward and I get an almost glitch-free picture and sound via an external 'non-Freeview' aerial routed around the house. It does have some quirks though. It's got stuck in standby a couple of times, needing a power cycle. Strangely, I always get audio drop-outs in the middle of those BBC adverts. (blokes in wheelchairs, etc.) and the unit does run a bit warm. The remote sensor unit didn't have a sticky pad on it, but Blu-Tak works wonders - I stuck the unit to the back of my TV with it too! For a kitchen system (where mine is) it's ideal. Reports of these units dying is a little worrying but so far, my only real worry is that it runs a bit warmer that I'd like when in use. Picture and sound quality are good. The picture's a little soft perhaps, but OK on a portable. 7 out of 10, I reckon, overall. |
