Review:
Although on the face of it a neat device, the one that I bought had a major defect. I don't know if it's typical but Currys didn't have any more and ALBA aren't making them any more so I got my money back and bought a different brand.

In case you see one for sale then be aware, the sound on ours regularly cut out for half a second or so every ten minutes and progressively the sound slipped further and further out of synch with the pictures. The only way you could get it back in synch was to change channels.

In between, when it was more or less working, the sound and picture quality was OK but that's about the best you can say about it.

I HAD NO PROBLEMS INSTALLING THIS AND THE PICTURE IS BETTER THAN MY OLD PREVIEW BOX AND IT REMOVES THE CLUTTER BEHIND THE TV.
DEFINATELY RECOMMENDED

This box, features & menu is identical to the Digilogic DSTB1000, it even has the same remote!, however it is smaller (231 x 156 x 39mm). It has 2 SCARTS (1 RGB) analogue audio on phono & a RF loop through. May be clone of Goodmans GDB3/Lodos DVB-T3.

Set up is fairly quick. It provides for 16/9 & 4/3 displays & in letter box mode has several zoom modes. The menu system is quite simple, perhaps too much so as there is no option to change many settings.

Channel change is average but there is no option to re-order them, this is a major bug as freeview channels are somewhat mixed up after initial install (ITV 1,2,3,4 are on channels 3,6,10,30). There is a 7 day guide but it is v slow to get all the data. Text services are fairly quick though. It has a 5 event timer.

Picture quality is OK, although I find this varies little between STB`s. The remote is smallish but has no separate buttons for your TV.

Overall not bad for the money as long as you don’t mind mixed up channels.
