Review:

Bought from Amazon, Needed two Scarts at the minimum price. Have bought Alba before without problems. Very useful as it has twin RCA phono out for sound to use with the Hi Fi. More useful is the way the video and DVD share this and toggle the sound out to the Hi Fi when auto switched to them. The TV an old 4 x 3 Decca is so much better with the simple Wide selector button that lets you choose the best picture size. The Decca is staying until something much better is available, I worked out that 36" is the size needed to be truely better than this old 28" 4 x 3 if going wide screen. Also have a Segum 1 Scart and a Grundig 2 Scart box. The Grundig I would say is slightly better on picture detail ( frecles etc ), the Segum slightly worst. The Grundig is old and slow but has very good 8 day guide the other just now and next. The Alba beats the Segum on the guide as more channels are shown at a time, the Segum has one nice thing a previous channel button. Lastly the sound is 3 star but OK

Review:
A great little budget model, from Argos at a mere £34.99, this is a present for my daughter and is to go in her bedroom (we have a Sagam as a main box). Good picture, great graphics, and seems to hold a poor quality signal well. The only disadvantage I can see is that I cannot move channels around (I am picking up BBC1 London as channel 1 when my aerial is pointing towards Bluebell Hill), still anyone who is scared of the name "Alba" can rest easy, this is a verey good budget model.
