The ViaMichelin GPS Navigation Pack is an indispensable driving tool. Its 3 mounting options allow you to position your PDA exactly as you prefer for convenient, and safe, viewing while you drive. You can even recharge your PDA at the same time. Simply connect the Bluetooth GPS receiver provided, specify your destination point and MapSonic will guide you through the traffic with the help of detailed maps and vocal instructions.
This easy to use software delivers clear and precise driving directions, map and route screens displayed in 3D, day and night options to give better visibility, 20 levels of zoom for clearer map display and instant automatic updates of your route in real-time, even if you take a wrong turn, to name but a few.
As an added extra included in this pack is the excellent Michelin Guide Great Britain, a selection of almost 6,900 hotels and restaurants located throughout Great Britain to be downloaded onto your PDA.

MapSonic Navigation Software
Discover MapSonic from ViaMichelin, the new navigation software for PDAs.
MapSonic is the only software product that can also be used on your PC. MapSonic is mapping software coupled with advanced route calculation function and voice guidance. Used with a GPS receiver, your PDA is transformed into a genuine on-board navigation system.
With detailed maps, route plans and voice guidance displayed on your PDA screen, all in real-time, PDA users can travel without ever getting lost again. All you have to do is download the maps you need onto your PDA, connect to a GPS receiver, and then simply enter in your departure and arrival points... in a car, on holiday or on business, MapSonic will guide you effortlessly.
The MapSonic maps offer numerous levels of zoom so you can see entire countries on your screen or zoom in until you only see a single street with all its details. MapSonic also includes accurate street number management, particularly useful when positioning yourself on the map.
Wherever you are, the route calculation function will give you the shortest or quickest route to your destination, taking into account traffic rules whether you are on foot or in a car.
Your route is calculated and then re-adjusted in real-time as you travel, with the map turning depending on the direction you are moving in. All the necessary information concerning the route is available (distance remaining, next exit to take, etc.) and the voice directions will guide you clearly and efficiently, transforming your PDA into a genuine on-board navigation system.
With the advanced search engine function, simply type in a few letters and MapSonic will display a list of streets or places which match your search. MapSonic also links directly to your PDA address book, so you can easily select your points of departure/arrival directly from your address book.
With MapSonic, you can quickly find a wide range of POIs (points of interest), divided into categories such as rest areas, airports, post offices, shopping centres, car hire, railway stations, hotels, restaurants, car parks, stadiums, petrol stations and many more. MapSonic also allows you to add personalised POIs for your favourite places.
Bluetooth GPS Receiver
With Bluetooth technology the GPS receiver communicates without wires with your Pocket PC or laptop. A cigarette lighter adapter is included for in-car navigation use, but with an 8 hour battery life from its internal rechargeable Lithium Ion power pack, the unit is equally suited to navigation when walking, or cycling.
With the latest SiRFstarII chipset, this receiver offers rapid satellite acquisition times and provides accurate navigation in areas of low signal strength such as under heavy leaf cover or between tall buildings in urban areas.
Three LEDs on the front of the unit indicate an active Bluetooth connection, acquired satellite fix, and a low battery life warning.
Adjustable Support
The adjustable support is both practical and well designed.
Its pullout jaws will hold your PDA firmly, and the charging function, controlled by an ON/OFF switch, means you will never run short on power! Your PDA connects to the support via one of 2 connectors, the other allowing potential for a GPS function.
Mount
Three fastening systems for three times the comfort and security! Whatever your make of vehicle, you will find a system that suits you best:
