Sky TV channel reception for a DVD Recorder.

I bought a DVD Recorder and used the Sky+ box output to connect it to the recorder TV aerial input. It found the autotune result and renumbered Sky TV to channel number 99. As the signal quality is strong enough, I could see a really great picture for live TV and the Sky+ Planner recordings. The recorder lets me record a show or a film or the screen details. Otherwise, I would use the SCART output to the DVD Recorder’s AV2 rear panel input. I use gold-plated SCART cables and AV cables, plus extra gold-plated adapters to connect the S-VHS cable, too.

I pay £11 a month for the Sky+ Planner to work so I can record the SD and HD free TV channels that way. I can download from the Internet as well.

Refurbished or secondhand, the savings are substantial. The Sky+ box does its own automatic retuning so that helps.

The Sky+ HDMI cable goes to the TV or a HDMI to SCART adapter instead.

I deleted all the DVD Recorder’s contents and reset the hard drive.

I’m using the ACU-DISC discs I got on eBay.
