SERVICES PROVIDED BY TVs and set-top boxes with HD channels and 4K TV quality…
For TVs, it helps to find extended warranty coverage such as 2 years instead of 1 year for brand new models. In my case, I prefer buying from the http://www.richersounds.com website to get their 6-year warranty coverage just in case and especially so for large TV screens and TV updates that may or may not work!
Also note that Hisense TVs for the year 2024 may also include FREELY which is an on-going replacement for Freeview channels. The use of the Internet streaming means we’re having to pay extra costs rather than using our existing rooftop aerials for Freeview. We’ve already seen a massive introduction of Internet streaming and the latest set-top boxes like the Netgem Netbox 4K models get over a hundred extra TV channels when we run the autotuning service for Freeview as well as the Netbox TV Channels. Even more TV channels have been added recently…
I’ve bought the Netgem Netbox 4K boxes already and was pleased to get the emails I subscribed for telling me of new TV channels which other set-top boxes don’t get.
The LG 4K Tvs get their own selection of LG TV channels by the way…
The ROKU set-top boxes have a separate ROKU TV channels selection, too.

The zone.tv streaming service is called zoneify and a Google search showed me the way to view this on my computer monitor. It was featured on YouTube so I checked what I could to learn which ways to watch and to use the services.
As it’s based in the USA, I used a VPN connected to Washington in order to access the content. Several VPN services are suggested by the Android and Firestick and ROKU YouTube gurus as a way to finance further YouTube videos. In my case, I’ve tested Windscribe and others yet I use the AVG program for Internet Security as well as extra options such as Anti-Track and VPN.

Many famous services are going to get recommended yet there are still some free services I’ve never heard of. So when extra info is provided this helps us to do some research. We may see the websites and test if the content streams for our computers and Smart TV access or using set-top boxes such as the ROKU. Amazon Firesticks are falling out of favour with some according to the latest YouTube videos. Too long for the updates to work correctly or apps that we can’t access.
My problem was the Mouse Toggle didn’t work but I disconnected the USB drive and tested the wi-fi dongle connector which worked with the remote control unit and its QWERTY keyboard and its special button to move the cursor around. The eBay website sells these remote controls, so look for a remote with blue home and OK buttons, and red TV and mouse buttons. It has a blue e Internet button, too. So now I use the Firestick remote and this remote, too.
I haven’t ordered the new versions of the Firestick based on the operating system not being as user-friendly as the older 4K versions.

The Consumer Electronics section has been updating us with the on-going Amazon updates whether restrictive or not. Many of the Internet gurus and reviews include VPN discount deals which may still be active. The thing is, there are basic free VPN services and there are comprehensive versions that cost money. The gurus get their commissions but which VPN is right for us or just for others and not us?
Each VPN is assessed and a top VPN is recommended but we still gain useful info for the rest.
If accessing American content from reliable free or pay websites then we may appreciate paying for a VPN service. However, some websites will later spread the content to the UK later.
Google results sometimes reveal that VPNs can’t protect us against all problems so who knows what to do for the best on our computers whether Windows 7 or Windows 11 or 32-bit or 64-bit systems.
Some web browsers include a free VPN so they are worth checking, too.

Having cancelled the Sky Signature and HD packages recently, I then switched to a non-Sky deal to record the free-to-air channels to my Sky+ HD Sky set-top box Planner. So my deal was for 12 months at a discount deal of £10 a month instead of £15. After this ends I will renegotiate hoping to get another deal for the minimum contract of 24 months. I use the same card and I lose my Sky channel recordings but hope to save hundreds of pounds each year.
The NOWTV service finally let me sign in and change my password and update my payment details and verify my email address and home address. I viewed the MY OFFERS and got 6 months for £5.99 a month starting tonight on the 24th of February and ending on the 24th of August 2025. The price increases to £9.99 later unless cancelled or finding a deal there or on a different email address.
The transaction completed OK and I’m using the 4K ROKU set-top box for the NOW TV service access. So I can start viewing NOW TV NOW.
By the way, there is a BLUE circular NOW TV set-top box that gets the Freeview TV channels as well…

If we’re using the Chrome web browser, we can install a VPN extension such as HOLA VPN. At the top right of the web page, we may see a black jigsaw piece. Click it to manage the extensions and switch the HOLA VPN to display with the other extensions. The orange fire smiley face appears, so now we set up a new VPN Country location, such as the USA.
If using a search engine, we may switch the search results to the USA option instead of getting the UK results. We may also set a size for image results from small to extra large. At times, we see images better if we increase the zoom value from 100% to 200% or higher.
Larger image displays often help when viewing film and TV details, or when some info may overlap the images.

The Roku Channel provides its content for free. I use the ROKU set-top box, yet the article states the service is available on Hisense TVS, NOW TV and Sky Q.
