By 2012, the UK's analogue TV service will be switched off, making room for digital TV.

Get Set For Digital

Digital TV takes the form of:

  • Freeview - TV via a TV aerial

  • Satellite TV - Receceived with a satellite dish

  • Cable TV - From underground cables with Virgin Media

  • Internet - TV over a broadband connection
