Another Morrisons deal was to order £70 and receive the £12 discount. Pay £1.50 for Sunday night’s delivery. Savings on special deals total was £60.
Morrisons £60 order, £10 discount, total savings this time: £38.
The Manhattan Aero was mentioned as it is about £70. It’s a basic version rather than the hard drive version.
Freely is increasing its share of the TV market and yet the figures remain concerning homes that have no Broadband and if Freeview ends then the next option is a satellite dish and a Sky+ HD set-top box instead. My Hisense 4K TV was bought especially because the rear panel has the circle satellite input and the USB input helps to record programmes with its start and end times.
My Sky+ HD box was bought from eBay as I upgraded to the 2TB storage instead. The viewing card was changed to cancel Sky channels but keep the free channels and I pay £11 a month for the time shift actions and the Internet Catchup downloads to the Sky+ Planner.
Freeview required an installation. Sky required an installation. So the latest technology is directing millions to a totally separate Internet Broadband service across the UK. HD channels use more storage and some HD channels are still free.
Broadband is wonderful if it remains affordable and yet the Internet savings elsewhere can offset the Broadband and phone service charges. Otherwise, haggle or switch. My TV Licence is £180. I can get lots of discounts for some Internet purchases to pay towards this monthly charge, too. Just ONE TV ADVERT could save us hundreds or thousands of pounds.

Reminder:
Some Internet images don’t have the correct format, so a JPG or JPEG may be a WebP, GIF, PNG, or even an MP4 video file.
The webp and webm files may be single images or animated images, and these have to be tested separately, such as with the Irfanview program. Images are detected, and we are asked to rename them if possible.
Temporary Internet caches may have filenames without the extension, such as f_123456, rather than f_123456.jpg, and Irfanview can help with them. Otherwise, use a rename option that some File Managers offer for single or bulk rename options and extensions. The search and replace option helps change the f_ part of a filename. This could be useful for several images at a time.
Some images are displayed with details such as width, height and percentage image quality. We can improve images by using the extension conversion if we change them to the PNG format instead. When eBay offers us the WebP image, we can edit the URL to .png and get better quality results.

The special deal of £51 off 4 shop orders works OK for the first order, but then a new voucher code must be sent, and we may not be able to use that in time. If we received the same offer to a different email account, then use that rather than wait.
The order was made with the same code as the first email account. I saved about £50 on my second email account, and both orders will be delivered at the same time this evening.
Visit the website and register again if you haven’t already received more than one email account offer.
Whatever the services may promise, the use of AI will enhance some and destroy others. Any advice can work to the good for some people. That’s how advice works. The more customers, the more the results improve, but there will still be collateral damage. There will be bad results that affect relationships and finances. Whether the dvice costs pennies or pounds, some advice can work out well enough. The more details or specifics get, the less results we may see. We may even try to make prophecies come true regardless of right or wrong decisions. That’s why some of us won’t rely on anything to do with the good or bad supernatural situations on offer.
The use of AI is just as difficult to deal with as the abuse of AI. YouTube offers us amazing cat videos but supernatural videos go far beyond entertainment on all levels from Jesus videos to New Age videos and so on. The YOU MUST DO THIS type of video is questionable, but the make a donation situation is just as dangerous. Even charity donations are analysed as to who gets what or who doesn’t get anything. So AI can manipulate just as human beings can. I’ve written about this recently and have a YouTube video called Absolutely! Positively! It makes us aware that we’re TV viewers and film fans who can be conditioned into believing virtually anything nowadays!

Over the last week, I have battled my way across various Internet websites using the computer, the 4K TV and Android devices that can access the Internet. Shopping became a very aggravating experience because low prices switched to almost double even before I could get to the checkout. I had to switch to different products and the available items and start again. I had to switch on the Amazon website between Morrisons, the Co-op, Iceland and Amazon sellers. Even when I completed the final orders, I had nothing like my first attempted order.
When I cancelled Amazon Prime membership, the web page didn’t have the cancel NOW option but tried to keep me as a member for a full month instead. I learned that the CHAT service was another mystery tour until I got access to a callback option when Amazon phoned me. Eventually, the human being option cancelled the membership on my behalf.
I followed that my getting a better membership deal for 3 months. Then came the switch from the original email to the new one and signing out was another peculiar hit and miss situation. Then came the time to sign in and use the new profile and set the account with the Smart TV. Then came the next situation to get that working with the Android device. Finally, I had access and could view the films and TV shows.
Finally.
I learned that an Android device still needs a computer to get Amazon Prime access. I learned how to save images and videos using the Android device with different web browsers and File Manager apps and different video players and image apps. Without YEARS of doing all this stuff I couldn’t have been overcoming the strange and the stupid situations.
The thing is, I don’t expect things to improve. So don’t trust all those buyer reviews for the really complicated situations we may deal with later. Without the tricks and tips and workarounds I know that things won’t improve and thousands of the Internet devices will be rejected. The Amazon Fire Stick began well until the repeated Amazon blitz updates to wipe out every customisation out there. YouTube is now pitching alternatives to try instead. Well, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!
29 May 2026 at 1:41 pm in reply to: Has anyone played around with the new wave of niche AI generation engines lately #5681I don’t actually require these super-powered versions of AI data management, but I discovered that YouTube has and by doing so it has crippled some YouTube channels. Their content can be discounted in various ways and some will appeal to get a better result than algorithms have churned out. That is enough to warn visitors to save the content that they can before it gets withdrawn. Some software programs have been sold to combat this new development. Save what you can while you can.
I’m mentioning getting a PC because they usually work better than Internet devices and especially those devices with different ways to save videos or images.
H96Max Android device Product Review. (Version 14, purple box)
The H96Max Android streaming device can click on a video download link and save it. For an image, I select SHARE then select FX for the FX File Manager app I installed. Then I scroll along to the final URL such as .html and use the backward delete X to clear that away to get to the jpg part. Then I can select OK to download that once I select the destination, such as the main drive or the inserted USB 32GB drive made by Kingston Integral. Then I select its Download folde and store the pasted or moved files there. Yes, it’s possible, but a difficult process when trying to download several items. Contrast all that lot with what a computer can do. The H96Max needed me to fit extra cables to add the USB into the device itself and an external mouse with the left and right buttons and the scroll bar. The additional cables are connected to a UK 3-point power plug just to get things working. These increase the prices by another £10 to £15 than the H96MAX costs.
I bought a Windows 7 computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard for less than £35 including the delivery. A clean installation but Internet Explorer doesn’t act well as a web browser, so I must try other web browsers instead.
I connected the PC and its mouse and connected a set of earphones. I switched to one of my white wide keyboards instead. The PC is displayed on a 32″ LG TV thanks to its PC connector on the rear panel. This displayed the 1920×1080 pixel size on the screen. The Ethernet cable was connected to the PC and that’s how I got access to SOME websites. The Kingston Integral 32GB USB drive was installed so I formatted this to a quick format FAT32 and 32KB setting. It’s different for over 32GB USB drives.
The PC monitor, stand and cables were left as spares since medium-sized PC monitors aren’t as user-friendly as a 32″ TV screen display can be for reading the small fonts and text.
The alternative to a clean install is to be from refurbished PC sellers and they provide different Windows PCs but who knows what will happen with the recent Windows versions and whatever updates they offer or force upon the PCs?
NB some sellers offer discount deals up to 20% when eBay offers the latest discount deals often displayed on the home page or in our eBay emails.
It’s funny to see solar panel adverts here in the forum. If I had that kind of money, I think I’d sell the house and emigrate instead!
I’m not sure if benefit claimants get the TV Licence Tax included now as part of the cost of living, but the UK Chancellor has announced extra benefits for businesses and families. I don’t seem to get diddly squat…
The Bank Holiday Savings offers for the books I wanted to buy have varied dramatically in the last few years. One book up to double the previous cost, and elsewhere, about half extra, but no extra significant discount.
Amazon wanted an extra £4 per book on what previously cost £12, yet elsewhere, the cost was closer to £11 using a 15% discount. So I bought enough to pay just over £100 to get an extra £10 off voucher after the sale.

Sometimes Amazon offers a £5 off deal, but I haven’t seen those for any of my account emails. There were no 99p offers for Amazon Prime for a week.
Atlasformen has recently granted a 25% discount, so you buy 4 and pay for 3. Maybe later there will be an offer to buy 3 and pay for 2.

New customer with repeat orders to save £12 using a voucher. The item savings were £23. This means I save £33, after paying the £1.50 for a late-night delivery.
The voucher code was valid for orders of £ 60 or more. My order didn’t include any alcoholic drinks. They don’t count for a £60+ qualifying order.
Freely TVs

A medium-sized Hisense TV at a discounted price. Maybe customers would need a larger screen. They must also pay the TV Licence at £180 per year and Broadband and phone line rental at £30 to £40 a month, or even more! A TV aerial installation could cost £200. Freeview set-top boxes for less than £20 on eBay. I prefer my TV aerial and a Netgem Netbox for Freeview, and the 100+ Internet TV channels. I’d need a similar 43″ 4K TV that may cost between £200 and £300 more.
£350 for a 6-year warranty coverage on the 43″ Freely and £395 for the 50″ TV. About £80 more than eBay, offering us a 20% voucher code. The stands for these models are not as stable as expensive TVs, which have a much longer support base. Better quality TV, but very expensive.
