Sometimes, websites aren’t working, but is that for everyone or just me?
This website runs a check to find out if a website is available or not:
https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/
Type in the HTTP or HTTPS to find out, and add the w w w part if necessary.
Sometimes HTTPS URLS don’t work, so we try the http option, and sometimes we can use a short or tinyurl way to access long URLS instead.
http://www.tinyurl.com can create an alias, such as I’ve used to get to here:
http://www.tinyurl.com/radiotelly
Save the URLS as Internet Favourites or Bookmarks.
The third episode is about a mysterious evil that attaches itself to a human who has killed someone. It turns out this is set thousands of years into Man’s future, and the Doctor has to figure out what to do as every clue unravels in the story. So we see different ways to help others in distress. The Doctor tries to overcome the increased aggravations from those he tries to protect. It’s a sad example of humans in distress making decisions they won’t live long enough to regret. The story is claustrophobic, similar to the Alien films and as darkly lit as the X-Files TV stories. So some TVS won’t display such scenes as clearly as we may appreciate.
Even the ending makes us wonder if things went well… or not so much…
I saved about £15 on the Morrisons website once the order was more than £60.
I get the £1.50 delivery for an evening delivery yet there are more daylight hours this month. When I got Amazon Prime for 99p for 7 days, I only used it a few times, so I cancelled it a day before it got renewed. I will get a 99p refund soon.
As a side issue, I got a £5 Prime Video offer and I used that up. I couldn’t record the film using the HDMI to SCART adapter, so I tested elsewhere to find a free version available on the Internet. So I accessed that and downloaded it using downloading and conversion software.
I will use the http://www.morrisons.com website for more card offers rather than the Morrisons Groceries store and its offers sent to my email account.
The http://www.atlasformen.co.uk website deal was 3 for the price of 2, even on Clearance items sold and delivered by Atlas For Men. So I ordered 18 sets of jackets and paid for 12 instead. Instead of £144, I only had to pay about £90 and saved about £50 last week. That’s why I ignored various deals in their emails until this deal came along. This time, I bought items in different colours.
I noticed a discount on the http://www.amazon.co.uk website. The price was about £11.25, with a 5% discount if I bought 4. I checked my other sellers’ deals and got a better one. I tried various promotional discount deals for their codes. When I registered as a new customer, I got an extra discount using a welcome code. So I saved over £90 just by shopping around and applying the savings to a large order.
So the Amazon website isn’t the best every time.
I ordered the 99p a week Amazon Prime and saved £15 on a Morrisons/Amazon £70 order for later in the evening.
Groceries/Morrisons code was SAVE20SHOP1 and is the first of the 3 voucher offers…
22/4/25. This week, check the Amazon Book Sale and perhaps get 5% off when we order 4 books. I switched accounts and found 2 separate Amazon Prime 7-day deals for 99p. So I can start early tomorrow. I recently claimed a £5 Video Rental credit this week.
British Gas Submit Meter Readings, NB phone 0800 07 28 625 and provide the answer for your account number based on your monthly email bill information. It takes a few minutes, yet it’s a free call.
USWITCH sent me an energy tariff email update for British Gas, so I visited the British Gas website to check available tariffs. I have about 15 months remaining on the V51 tariff, and I switched from this to THE LONGER FIX V30 tariff for 24 months starting tomorrow, 23/4/2025. The tariff increase is about £35 a year for my account, or 10 pence extra a day. The charges are the same for day or night electricity, so no concerns about what time the electrical equipment gets used.

http://www.thekingofkings.co.uk
There are some film trailers for this Easter film, and I wrote a new poem about it.
I saved about £50 thanks to the Atlas For Men website and spent that getting a new domain website. The http://www.ionos.co.uk website had a special offer, so I signed up for the next 5 years. I forwarded the domain to my web page on the poemhunter website, so as long as that’s active, the link goes there.
I was using the ROKU set-top box this morning, and that was how I saw an app called Google Search. It had several film details, and in the Top Box Office for the US, the Gospel film had an impressive cartoon-style trailer. That made me wonder if any useful domain names were available. The ionos website is often shown in our UK TV adverts, and its website searches for the available domains. That’s how I could register the domain so quickly today.
VAT is included in domain name orders, but the first year is reduced anyway.
Film details are shared on the Internet Movie Database website here:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt7967302/?ref_=fn_all_ttl_1
I like this site and others because they provide the cast details, and this film includes famous voiceover actors such as Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan.
The latest update for eBay caused some setbacks for sales recently.
The Make An Offer option didn’t work well, so I couldn’t get what I wanted each time I tried. It’s still hit and miss.
One item I did get fell apart as soon as I lifted it.
One item was a pack of recording DVDS, but I was sent the DVD+R format instead of the DVD-R format I needed for the DVD Recorder.
I spent a few hours taking photos to prove what had happened and telling the sellers by getting them onto an Internet set-top box, then a flash drive, and then onto the computer to send the messages using eBay.
I watched episode 2 about a mysterious cinema in which people went missing.
The companion’s I wanna go home theme was changed to What could it hurt to investigate? From then on, her life was put in danger until finally the whole thing turned around, and ended up lucky for one and all. The Disney cartoon and musical situation was unusual, but still made the story worth watching.
This weekend, I received several emails from Atlas For Men offering 3 for the price of 2 items. I learned that although I had a known account, I had to register it and apply the discount code. I made 3 different orders before the offer ended at midnight, and the savings were about £49. I will receive 18 fleece jackets for over £5 each.
